Job Title: Investment Manager – Governance Programmes
About the Somalia Stability Fund:
The Somalia Stability Fund (SSF) is a multi-donor fund working towards a peaceful, secure, and stable Somalia. It offers Somali stakeholders a source of multi-year funding that can respond to local needs and opportunities. Its aim is to provide sustained support over the longer term to local process of building stability in Somalia, and to help areas become stable over the medium-term whilst building their linkages to a national framework.

What we are looking for:
SSF’s investment portfolio requires an adaptive team of Investment Managers to manage the Fund’s portfolio of investments, ensuring smart operations systems are employed to capture and analyse risks and returns, the adoption of lessons learnt, and through the continuous refinement of the investment design. An Investment Manager typically manages several investments across Somalia, maximizing individual investment returns at an acceptable level of risk.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Four to seven years’ experience in designing and managing all development projects
- Masters in political science, international relations, economics or other social sciences
- Prior experience working on governance and peacebuilding initiatives
- Previous experience in conducting political analysis.
- Previous experience in grants or contracts management.
- Ability to prepare monthly and quarterly financial and narrative reports on the performance of investments required
- Local knowledge of the Somali context would be preferred but not essential
- Previous experience working with DFID would be highly desirable
